Korean Food Queenstown

 Korean Food Queenstown

I should apologize right off the bat, I don't know the name of this restaurant. It's an old Korean restaurant, on the 2nd floor of one of the restaurants along Beach Street, Queenstown CBD. I hope you'd be able to identify it by looking at these photos I provided.

I could say that this is one of the best tasting Korean foods I have had. But then again, most Korean foods are really tasty and consistently good wherever I go.

The price is reasonable. $15 to $25 for a set meal. Though I don't think it's too cheap because the serving size is rather small.  As you can see, my Bimbimbap is quite tiny. They do provide free tops for side dishes like kimchi and jelly with black sesame seeds.

I love Korean food because they put absolutely zero synthetic seasonings. Korean food is very healthy.

McDonalds Queenstown NZ

Currently, Mcdonalds has a very tempting promotion: $5 for coffee and cake

Essentially it's $5 NZD for coffee and any cake or pastry on their cafe menu.

I ordered this rather healthy alternative from my favorite - Mc Cafe Shop - Queenstown NZ, Frankton Road.

For $5, I got 2 rolls of chicken salad in a simple wrap (cold). Chicken was tasty. I also got a cafe mocha.

That's really good value.

Breakfast Alternative, Fruit Breakfast

A good thing about traveling in the Philippines is that I can occasionally enjoy highly quality and very cheap tropical fruits like paw paw. Paw Paw is a very low calorie food, lots of great nutrients that help exude flawless complexion. Adding a slightly sweet yet sour seedless grapes enhances the flavor of the fruit salad (above) which I prepared for my breakfast.

That whole bowl of fruit salad is only less than 120 calories. Perfect and yummy!

Healthy Snack

Had these lovely blueberries in Sydney ...
Sydney blue berries are slightly sweeter than most of the blueberries I buy in NZ.

Hamill's Cafe & Restaurant, Frankton Queenstown NZ

Nope, this is isn't a case of feeling adventurous. We were only supposed to have a coffee and a cake to have a relaxing meeting. But when we saw the pizza options and found out that Hamill's served banana pizza, we stayed for a bigger meal.

Yes banana pizza is superb. It is better than pepperoni my friends.

This whole pizza cost us about $25 NZD.

Their coffee (mochaccino) is actually also good - one of my top 3 favorites in Queenstown.

So yes, I would recommend this cozy place.

Hamill's is located at Frankton shopping center where you can find Neworld, Warehouse, banks, Hannah's and other shopping establishments.

Mc Cafe Queenstown NZ

Mc Cafe - McDonald's posh version to compete with the very lucrative niche cafe businesses in the west. I had to try it.

Mc Cafe offers free wifi - 30 mins sometimes, sometimes up to 1 hour in Queenstown New Zealand. In other places in NZ, the free wifi is up to 2 hours - like in Mc Cafe Hornby.

Currently, there's a $5 coffe and cake promo in all NZ Mc Cafes. It's a good promo. There's less risk for me.

So one morning, I walked to McDonalds through the Frankton track. Fantastic view of the Wakatipu lake.

I ordered a carrot cake with coffee for $5.

LOVELY. I was surprised.
Great Value. I was surprised!

Obviously since I tried going to Mc Cafe for a quick coffee break, I have been there more than 5 times :-)

Mc Donald's good for you.
